Mission Statement
The Program Management Office (PMO) provides leadership for the improvement and expansion of project management processes across all City of Boston agencies. The office centralizes, oversees and coordinates the development and implementation of a common project management methodology. It establishes a consistent, repeatable approach to managing projects that focuses on operational efficiencies and provides a common language for City of Boston agencies.

To provide information to a wider audience (non City Employee-SharePoint users) the Program Management Office (PMO) is happy to provide this blog.
The site is intended as a communication vehicle for any City Department interested in knowing more about Project Management. You will find information:
- On upcoming events sponsored by the PMO, links to webinars and announcements on local project management activities
- On training by the PMO for participating departments*, information on local project management opportunities
- We are able to share information on any project that is submitted by a participating department. See the breath of projects City Departments are involved in and who to contact for further information.
- Project management resources and articles to keep you up to date on practices, standards and the latest news
For participating departments Clarity will continue to be our working environment. This is where current project managers will post Charters and Budgets, get updated templates and have access to current project information.
All departments can implement the City project management process. If your department is interested in implementing project management please contact alice.santiago@cityofboston.gov
